Lasic

Salam.
Well, i need to make this simple and easy ok.. so that i won't trail off.

I did my lasic with Prof Dr Muhaya aka my idol... ok. we made that clear.


Anyway, the process was simple enough. BUT, the preparation and tests... is what's anoyying a bit.

First of all, make sure that you didn't wear your contact lenses at least 10 days before...or maybe 2 weeks or 1 months... Depends on how often you wear it. According to the nurses, this is to make sure that your reading on the tests are accurate.. All and all, to make sure that the surgery went well and perfect afterwards.

Make and appointment first... cause..shes too popular to just walk in. One of the nurses said that she only stop to solat..(perhaps, eat a bit)...The rest..shes always busy with her patients and surgery. With my so-called 'observation' ,, she's always go back and forth to the lasik room and her office to meet her soon-to-be patient (to make sure that the patient is good for the surgery).

Alright, on the day of my tests... There are quite a number of them. Actually,,, a LOT. make sure you bring books or make sure your phones have lots of games to kill the time. The nurses would do these tests.... Don;t worry. These are simple tests... Then, LASTTTTLY, they will.. apply few eyedrops in your eye. This is to make your lens dilate.

So, at this time.. for ppl with myopia... You can't see near object when you wear specs. I take them off to read at this stage. (oh, theres a lot of magazines too..don't worry)

Then, you hv to wait a few minutes for it to dilate properly. SOOO, maybe at this stage.. you can have your lunch and solah first.
After that, they'll do a second check up. This is to make sure that your 'power' is constant and accurate.

Later that evening, yess...eveninggg...
I have to wait for the doctor!!! Last check up is by the boss,.. Prof Dr Muhaya!
Yeahhh, shes bz... so, kne tunggu die keluar surgery dlu.

ohhh, lupe nak bgtau.. kat Prince Court.. Die pnye eye clinic and lasic centre is at the third floor. Eye clinic is at the end of the left side and lasic at the end of right side. Its a pretty long walk. With your dilated eyes, walk carefully!

Ok. I finished my check up at 1 but i waited for prof until 4pm. The nurses said that its because im still 'young' and lens dilate lambat skit. ape2 la.. hahah.

Anyway, i met her for like 5 minutes pon x sampai. It was like really fast. She checked my eye and said everything is ok... so, we can proceed with the lasic. (Terkelu jugak jumpe die, x sempat nk ckp pape).

Then, bayar for that day. Then, i hv some medication was prescribed. So, take it at the pharmacy at level 1. One of the eyedrops that they give was to contract your lens back.. to get ready for the surgery. BEWARE<< it drowsy and make your eyesight worse. Not only you can't see distant objects...even close objects. For me, even with specs on, i still can't see clearly.

Ok now, the next day. Kejap jee operation die.
I was called at about 12.30pm. By 1pm dh habis (Approx 8 mins sbenarnye. Panggil awal to get ready)

After that, pkai that white baju and the cute hat... Then, nurse apply ubat kebas.
and i went in...... there's another patient on the table. And Prof was still working with her. She called my name and said... 'Tengok dekat screen.. tengok yg kelip2 tu.. x de ape2 kan? Dkt cnie, tak boleh takut2. (die sempat bg ceramah.. hihi.. i likkkke) pas2, die ckp.. tak rase ape2 pon. pas2, die tanye budak atas meja die tu.. tak rase ape2 kan? and she said 'yes'.. but NOT CONVINCING> hahaha..

anyway, i was awed!!! mcm best nyee keje diee. hahaha. and the cool machines!!! (itu pulak yg tgk).

Then, as i was being prepared.... ddk ats meja... baring. nurse kinda strap my head so that it won't move. and soo, i waited for prof to come in. (die jumpe patient kat luar dlu kot..lame jugak tunggu.. berdebar.. dh mule fikir mcm2...pas2, ngantok pulak..hahaha)

Nahh, the wait wasn;t THAT long.. .it was about 3 minutes or so. Shes bz,, giv her a BREAK. haha.

Alright. back to my point... There's 2 machines.. The chair (or table) can be twisted to the first and second easily. There are 3 nurses or 2 helping her.

The first machine.. i was asked to look at the green spot. And to cut it short... the green spot semakin dekat and dekat..until it become ALL white.. about 30 secs.. and its done.

Prof: takut tak?
Me: Tak.
Prof: Isy, budak2 muda ni....
Me: Budak2 mude???

She leaves me hanging.. hahaha.

Then, moving on to the next machine.. ni BARUU nk start! hhahaa...
The second one.. kne tgk green spot jugak i think.
and theres the red thing moving. bt YOU CAN'T LOOK AT THE MOVING THING..

this is very important sbb kat cnie laaaaaaaa laser nyeerrr.. YOU CAN EVEN SMELL! hahaha.

anyway, kat cnie die bukak your cornea i think!?!?  and put it back... hv to read more in THAT.. x brape sure.

There's a lot of vids on you-tube that you can watch. Tp, relax dh. Its fun. InsyaAllah. Lastly from me, buatlah lasic with her. shes a great women. She started the surgery with bismillah and zikir.. The room was also bergema dgn zikir Hafiz...Hamizan eh? i think.

So, thats it. Die ade bg few eyedrops utk pkai and all.
Owh, n before surgery tuuu.. ade makan painkiller. Penat laa nk type pasal post surgery. nnt sambung plak. Basically, mule2 OK..then, pedihhhh.
